You do not need to have any previous experience to join Centre Stage. There are 3 ages groups: 6-7 years, 8-11 years and 12-16 years, each enjoying an hour of acting, an hour of dancing and an hour of singing. Acting includes improvisation and script work, developing imagination and a variety of stage skills. Dancing includes jazz and street, exploring movement and building flexibility and strength. Singing includes pop songs and musical theatre, developing musicality, interpretation and projection. All our classes take place in a secure and suitable environment. |
We follow the school terms but continue to run through half term holidays, breaking only for end of term school holidays. We recommend that students wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, such as tracksuits or leggings. Soft shoes such as trainers are ideal. There are breaks for refreshments during the day. Students are not permitted to leave the premises during this time and they will be fully supervised. It is always a good idea to bring a drink and perhaps something light to eat to keep the creative juices flowing! |
